It's the Truth That's Getting Hot!

Nasa has jumped off the Global warming bandwagon.

According to their web page
http://science.nasa.gov/NEWHOME/headlines/essd06oct97_1.htm

Unlike the surface-based temperatures, global temperature measurements of the Earth's lower atmosphere obtained from satellites reveal no definitive warming trend over the past two decades. The slight trend that is in the data actually appears to be downward.

This is approximately what we would expect if earthly climate variations have been driven by solar variations. The sun has been doing various things that should make the earth hotter over the twentieth century, but near the end of the twentieth century, the trend on the sun stabilized.

The fact that the sun has stabilized, but the earth is supposedly still getting hotter is supposedly proof that global warming is anthropogenic, not cosmogenic, but of course, if the earth is *not* getting hotter ...

Surface based temperature measurements are inaccurate due to the Urban Heat Island effect. Weather stations are near buildings, buildings are getting built up. Every time someone pours asphalt near the weather station, or installs an air conditioner near a weather station, the earth's temperature supposedly rises
