Dear Congressman Mike Coffman,
I made a mistake yesterday, when I left a message with Paul (202-225-7882) thanking you for initiating "ban use of condemnation to expand PCMS."
I did not make a mistake requesting The Nature Conservancy return monies Congressman Hefley and Senator Allard secured for it.
Clarification:
It is publically know that The Nature Conservancy is the entity that has targeted - therefore wants - all the land in S.E. Colorado. They've tied up land on the OK side - and have somewhat three sided the Pinon Canyon area.
It is also a known that an individual by the name of Craig Walker (Who was or still is on TNC board.) basically overextended himself acquisitioning land in and around Southeast Colorado.
A Mr. Bobby Hill is allegedly providing some investment relief to Mr. Walker.
Mr. Walker wants the condemnation/eminent domain “off the table” so he can lease his land at $105.00 an acre for 50 years - to the Army - and put in big conservation easements.
Allegedly TNC withdrew their partnership/proposal with Army (acquisition land for buffer zones around the maneuver site) and have several million dollars ($10 to 18) unused.
Bottom line? We want you to table this bill. It’s nothing more than a cash cow for the personal enrichment of one man, and opportunity for the biggest real-estate company in the world, TNC to continue using our money to seize control of our land and water.
After you squash this bill, we want you to go after all monies federal government has given to TNC, and demand they return it to us!
Additionally, get the $101,000,000 feds gave TNC in 2006 - and all the years prior plus 2007, 2008 and 2009!
That's our money, not the federal government's. We want it back!
