at International Biotech Conference

ITSSD President Lawrence Kogan will be traveling to Moscow this week to participate as a panelist in the first EurasiaBIO Congress Conference that will be convened at Moscow's World Trade Center. This will be Mr. Kogan's second trip to Russia during the past year. Mr. Kogan's presentation entitled, Taking Advantage of IP Protection to Advance Russian Biotech is scheduled to take place on Friday April 25, at 10:00 am. See "Section 5, Intellectual Property Rights and Technology Transfer", in the following program: http://www.eurasiabio.org/images/Program/Program/EABIO%20V15%20engdoc

Mr. Kogan was invited to speak at the EurasiaBIO conference following the recent publication by the Washington Legal Foundation of a paper that Mr. Kogan co-authored with Yelena Bakulina, a promising young Russian lawyer from the City of Kirov. The paper is entitled, HOW MARKET-BASED POLICIES COULD SPUR BIOTECHNOLOGY GROWTH IN RUSSIA. The event is being hosted by the Yu.A. Ovchynnikov Russian Bioltechnology Society and the Russian National Biofuel Association. The EurasiaBIO Congress is being supported, in large part, by the Russian Government. See http://www.eurasiabio.org/AboutEurasiaBIO
