Misleading bill scheduled for February 21st

Stop toll road bill that would bring harm to private property owners, and favor toll road companies

Call your representative today - February 17, 2008

Colorado bill - HB1007 is scheduled February 21, 2008.

Rep. Looper has made no attempt to negotiate on this bill. It still hides the material fact the toll road corridor exists and protects private toll road companies from litigation by land owners harmed by the wrongful filing of the corridor.

Please send the transportation commission a brief note, let them know we don't like this bill.

Last session, Rep. Looper mislead the House Transportation Committee at the final hearing for HB1068, by claiming Save Our Homes coalition members, lawyer and lobbyist had been in on and approved the changes made to the bill, where in fact, I personally told Rep. Looper S.O.H. would never agree to the hijacked version of the legislation, nor did I believe, would the vast majority of property owners within the corridor. Rep. Looper choose to move forward with her version of a solution to the corridor problem, for which no one saw any redeeming qualities, except possibly the toll road company.
